Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Translation of texts on various topics from English to German and vice versa; focus on business and economics.
Assessment and permitted materials
2 tests, homework assignments, attendance (class attendance mandatory), and participation.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
To strengthen students translation competences, such as text comprehension and text production skills, research techniques, proofreading and editing skills, etc. as well as their general language skills and vocabulary; to practice assignment-focused translation.
Examination topics
Discussion of translations prepared at home; Translation of texts in class; proofreading and editing of translations.
