Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The aim of the course is practicing the essential interpreting skills, such as analysis, compression, delivery and preparation for the job. The course will include exercises for expanding the vocabulary, text analysis, honing various interpreting techniques, as well as practicing simultaneous interpreting from English, Ukrainian and Russian.

Assessment and permitted materials

Ongoing assessment based on in-class interpreting.

All renditions are assessed against four dimensions:
conveying the message
logic and communication
interpreting technique
delivery

Examination topics

Global warming, election systems, arts and culture, world economy.
