Aims, contents and method of the course
Aims: Acquiring a functional note-taking technique suitable as a basis for consecutive interpreting classes in the MA.Contents and methods: Principles and elements of language-independent note taking, discussion of different approaches to note-taking technique, note-taking/consecutive interpreting exercises.RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended you take the course Basic Competence Translation B Interpreting before taking this course.
Assessment and permitted materials
Participation in class (28% of semester grade), homework (handed in on time, 48%), one intralingual interpretation with notes in the final class (24%).
