Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
The entire coursework must be completed by students by the following April 30 at the latest for bachelor's theses in the winter semester and by the following September 30 at the latest for bachelor's theses in the summer semester. Students who have not deregistered from the course are to be assessed. In the event of a negative assessment, a board examination is not permitted and the course must be repeated. Legal source: Statutes of the University of Vienna §10 (4, 5, 6). You are expressly informed that in the event of a fraudulent performance (e.g: Copying, plagiarism, use of unauthorized aids, forgery, ghostwriting, etc.) the entire PI-LV will be counted as cheated and will count as a failed attempt. (Entry in U:SPACE: X = not assessed)
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Writing a scientific thesis according to the guidelines valid at the institute. The topic should document the current state of research. Please note that the "Turnitin" plugin carries out a text similarity check (= plagiarism check) as part of the submission of the bachelor's thesis via Moodle and informs you of the result. A positive grade is only possible after a successful plagiarism check. What is plagiarism? "Plagiarism occurs in any case when texts, content or ideas are taken over and passed off as one's own. This includes in particular the appropriation and use of text passages, theories, hypotheses, findings or data by direct, paraphrased or translated adoption without appropriate identification and citation of the source and the author."
