Classes

This semester, due to SARS CoV-2 the course will take place in the form of remote learning. The course will therefore differ from the intendent blocked-organization (which consisted of 5 complete days of contact with a focus on self-awareness and practical competences) be structured in 5 different chapters (with a knowledge- and competence based focus). These chapters will be organized on the learning platform and course management system Moodle.
New chapters are uploaded every second week.

Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Objectives: To provide advanced methods to assess physical fitness

Contents: Guidelines for training prescription, athropometry, posturography, mobility testing, stremgth assessment, endurance assessment,

Methods: remote learning (moodle)

Assessment and permitted materials

Subtasks to be fulfilled by the students related to the individual chapters (one chapter corresponds to a student’s workload of 1 ECTS = 25 hrs each.

Deadline to all services/elements required for grading is 30th of September 2017. In the case of a negative grade, a commission examination is not permitted and the visit to the course is to be repeated. Legal basis: Satzung der Universität Wien §10 (4, 5, 6).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Each chapter will contribute to the overall grading with 20% each (each individual task will be rated in accordance with the following rating schem (1 = excellent: 90-100%); (2 = good: 80-89.9%); (3 = fair: 66 -79.9%); (4 = sufficient: 50 – 65.9%); (5 = failed < 50%)
