Aims, contents and method of the course

Goals:
- confident application of quantitative methods within empirical research
- competence to interpret statistical parameters in Sport Scientific research articles
- competecne for an independent analyses and presentation of empirical data

Contents:
- Statistics programme SPSS
- Statistical methods (descriptive statistics, interference statistics, correlation/regression)
- Statistical methods in the context of the research process (study planning, analysis and interpretation)

Methods:
- independent and guided PC work

Assessment and permitted materials

- continous assessment course; obligatory attendance in 75% of the lectures
- on time delivery of homeworks
- personal contributions
- final exam

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The following partial performances have to be fulfilled:
- personal contribution (5%)
- homeworks (40%)
- final exam (55%)
