Aims, contents and method of the course

Goals:
- confident application of quantitative methods within empirical research
- competence to interpret statistical parameters in Sport Scientific research articles
- competecne for an independent analyses and presentation of empirical data

Contents:
- Statistics programme SPSS
- Statistical methods (descriptive statistics, interference statistics, correlation/regression)
- Statistical methods in the context of the research process (study planning, analysis and interpretation)

Methods:
- independent and guided PC work

Assessment and permitted materials

Homeworks, interim tests, final test

-) 2 homeworks (group work, each 10 points)
-) 2 interim tests (group work, each 10 points)
-) final test (60 points)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Participation at the final test and a minimum of 50 points (10 + 10 + 30 from individual tasks) represent the minimal requirements.
The attendence at 75% of the lectures is obligatory.
