Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Goals: To understand and apply statistical basics using examples from Sports Science
Contents: Descriptive statistics (univariate, bivariate), Interference statistics, graphical presentation of results
Methods: Lectures plus practicing at the PC (MS Excel and SPSS)
Teaching methods: theoretical inputs, exercises, exercises in spss, E-Learning (Moodle)

Assessment and permitted materials

Grade results from:
Attendence (mind. 75%)
Homework and Participation
Exam on the basic concepts of quantitative research methods
Final exam on application of SPSS

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

30 points Exam on the basic concepts of quantitative research methods
20 points participation in course and homework
50 points Final exam on application of SPSS

60 points represent the minimal requirements.
The attendence at 75% of the lectures is obligatory.
