Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This course will give students an introduction into current topics related to sports informatics. It aims to better students ability of understanding the influence of informatics on modern sport science. Furthermore, it will give students the chance to dive into data in sports.
Due to language requirements parts of this course will be held in English language. On students explicit wish lectures covered by Martin Dobiasch can be held in German (given 100% of students speak German).
The course will be held in an inverted classroom style. There will be two lecture blocks in which students can cover the material at their own pace without time constraints of in-class lectures. Pre-recorded lectures are prepared for the students. After each block we will meet in person to discuss the material and gain a good understand of the topics covered.
The course and its format will be explained in detail in the pre-lecture meeting on 4.10.2022. There we can also make some adjustments based on students wishes and requirements.
