Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The students learn to use office applications (MS Excel/LibreOffice Calc, MS Access/LibreOffice Base) as well as dedicated statistical software (Jamovi) for data processing, visualisation and analysis. Also, knowledge of statistical concepts is deepened by application. After successful completion of the course, students are able to use software to successfully process, visualise and statistically analyse data on their own.

During the course, the students work independently on assignments that are spread over the semester. Each new assignment is preceded by a brief introduction and demonstration of the software to be used. At the end of the course, there will be a final test which will be solved on the computer.

Assessment and permitted materials

Grading is based on the solutions to the assignments which the students have to submit as well as the performance on the final test.
Researching information on the internet and in one's own documents is allowed.
