Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Students should engage with simple sports scientific questions in thefields of school sports to learn the application spectrum ofquantitative research. The necessary empirical knowledge and abilitieswill be imparted.
Assessment and permitted materials
regular presence, active co-operationhand in of single working steps during the Semesterwriting exam about the basics of the quantitative research methodstest at end of semester (data evaluation on PC)
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Get to know and implementing the development of empirical research inthe field of school sports (i.e. evaluation of teaching, performancetests): finding of themes, literature research, specification oftheme, formulating of hypothesis, finding or developing ofappropriate survey-tools, adopting/refreshing the empirical knowledgenecessary for the data analyses (average, quantile, test ofsignificance), use of statistics program SPSS, finding of adequatepresentation forms for presenting the results (graphs, images,interpretations).
Examination topics
lecture, discussion and work in small groupswork with PC (analysis of data with SPSS statistics program)
