Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
- to provide students with skills and knowledge of basic rules that are necessary to actively play basketball
- to give students the possibility to get to know different sports games and basketball related teaching concepts that enable them to teach basketball to specific groups at different levels
- to make students develop the ability to understand and demonstrate fundamental basketball skills and techniques and to recognize common mistakes and give useful advice
Examination topics
- variation between practical realization of sports games and basketball related teaching concepts as well as students’ reflections on the unit
- independent preparation and teaching of different parts of the lesson (warm-up) with feedback and critical reflections
- as preparation for the final exam: independent practice of individual skills, strategies etc. (outside of the course time)
