Aims, contents and method of the course
- Getting to know central aspects of team handballo Individual and group techniqueo Individual, group, and team tacticso Methodology- Introduction to the rules- Trying the rules by refereeing short parts of a game - How to work with heterogeneous groups- Presentation of homogeneity models setting of individual tasks and tutorials - Game observation and analysis- Coaching and counselling- Methodological sequences to explain how to develop special technical and tactical skills, and a general understanding of the game- Carrying out short methodological training sequences + supervision and evaluation - Getting to know ways and means for those who work at grammar schools and similar institutions to adapt available resources at schools in order to work efficiently
Assessment and permitted materials
- The student’s semester mark will consist of the weighted mean of the following aspects:
o Written examination based on the accompanying lecture notes (methodology and didactics, rules ), -50%o Short methodological training presentations carried out by the student - supervised and evaluated by the lecturer,
and written protocol of one of the lecture units, 30%
o Lecturer’s evaluation of the student’s competence, 10%o Studying and describing a handball match 10%- In order to achieve a positive assessment at the end of the term all the individual elements quoted above must be positive.

Dates of examinations: At the end of the relevant summer semester and at the beginning of the following winter semester.

The students
- have appropriate individual technique and adequate tactical behaviour,
- have the ability to adapt to group and team tactics,
- are able to referee a game of medium speed and average competence of the players satisfactorily,
- can take part in a game showing average technical-tactical competence,
- know how to apply methodological training forms to develop a player,
- are able to work effectively with heterogeneous groups,
- can apply basic coaching and counselling elements,
- know ways and means to initiate, observe, and, if necessary, steer social learning processes.positive assignments on moodle
