Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

- how to teach games and different types of sports games from a methodical/didactic point of view
- modern types of new sports games
- teaching new games to specific groups and students at different skill levels
- examples of new popular sports games
- American Sports: Flag-Football, Lacrosse, Intercrosse etc.
- popular sports games: Tchoukball etc.
- leisure time games: Unihoc, Indiaca, Frisbee etc.

Assessment and permitted materials

- group of students will give a demonstration lesson, presenting games using the literature provided
- after the course is finished, 8 games have to be described in detail (including game literature and homepages) and submitted within the deadline
- all students will receive these manuals

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The course is designed to…
- discuss trends and developments in the field of games/sports games
- empower students to independently deal with new trends in this area, using literature and other sources of information

Examination topics

- with the help of relevant literature and fellow students, students shall independently look into new sports games/different types of games
- variation between practical realization of teaching concepts as well as students’ reflections on the unit
