Aims, contents and method of the course

The colloquium is open to advanced PhD students who have already conducted their empirical research/fieldwork and are writing their thesis; whose topics fall at the intersection of critical urban and migration/refugee studies. The participating students are expected to present and discuss a chapter of their thesis or a paper based on their thesis in class. It aims to address the location of migrants/refugees in city-making and policy processes, in cultural industries and in housing. The colloquium will not deal with topics centered on questions of integration.
