Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The course will provide the framework for contextualising and theorising
the role of media as not only local or national actors but in their
international industrial and economic, cultural and political roles. The
course will explore research methodological questions and approaches to
the study of international media with particular emphasis on questions of
governance and structure. Not only established mass media but also new
media technologies are included as objects of study. Students will be
expected to participate actively in the sessions and make regular
presentations on set questions.
