Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This Jean Monnet Course is designed for students whose work is related to questions of European democracies and European identity through the study of communicative practices: in particular, protest as a form of communicative practice and communicative space is the core object of discussion in the ways in which it helps us understand the dynamic nature of European integration as well as challenges and conflictual visions thereof. Students are invited to produce presentations and lead discussions through the case study of specific forms of protest, such as a. street art including graffiti, street theatre etc b. protest c. social movements eg occupy, indignados, gilets jaunts, anti-austerity movements, women’s march etc
