Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The social sciences are considered as critical sciences. However, the history of social sciences tells about its authoritarian entanglements. The critical examination of its "disciplinary amnesia" (George Steinmetz), be it in relation to fascism and National Socialism, Sovjet totalitarism or imperialism and colonialism, is a necessary prerequisite for the productive reappraisal of research traditions, like the famous "Studies on Prejudice", which have raised authoritarianism as research subject.
