Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
In recent years, citizens have become increasingly aware of the global environmental crisis. In response, parties as well as companies have started numerous activities to connect their brands to environmental topics and activities. This theory class discusses the contents and outcomes of environmental campaigns, covering topics such as green buycotting and boycotting, green deception and greenwashing as well as green attitudes. A special focus will lie on the theoretical discussion of those concepts. Students will present the state of the art, identify research gaps, and discuss research designs.
