Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
Regular participation, oral and written contributions, active contributions to discussions.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The seminar entrains professionel skills such as presenting a scientific research topic at an international conference (GRACEH) as well as the application of methods and theories. Prtas of book chapters can be discussed together in regard of scientific writing style, structure of argumentation, plausibility, a.s.o.
Examination topics
The methodological basis for the discussion will be readings in comparative history, transferts culturels/Transfergeschichte, entangled history and other "relational approaches" in history and cultural studies.

Another goal of the seminar is to prepare for the 10th Graduate Conference in European History (Graceh) in April of 2016, when it will be hosted again by the History Department of the Central European University. This includes the submission of papers to the CfP and other preparatory steps.
