Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In this course different aspects of supply chain management are discussed. The main focus lies on inventory management, risk pooling and logistics network configuration (excluding transportation management). Furthermore the Bullwhip effect is explained and discussed in connection with the Beer Game. Distribution strategies and the principles of decision-support systems for supply chain management are further topics.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The aim of this course is to learn about the key issues of logistics networks and how to optimize supply chains.
