Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Introduction, position of Old Church Slavonic in Indo-European, cultural-historical background (Cyrilo-Methodian "mission" and development until the fall of the 1st Bulgarian Empire), writing systems, prehistoric phonological development, phonology and morphology.
Assessment and permitted materials
Partaking in discussions, homeworks, and written exam
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Depending on the content, the various chapters will be given either as a lecture, or in collaboration with the students in reading and discussion-sessions.
