Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Deepening of language competences (CEFR). Processing of written or spoken texts. In addition to the texts from the everyday life, topics of linguistic, literary and cultural sciences from the Slovak culture, literature and linguistic history will be treated.

Assessment and permitted materials

Oral and written examination (dates will be discussed in the course). Regular attendance as well as active participation are also considered.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The students are able to understand different kinds of texts (linguistics, literature, culture), and to reproduce their contents in writing as well as verbally. At the same time, differences between colloquial and technical language as well as between standard and substandard varieties are followed in the exercise.

Material of exercises (topics, grammar, vocabulary).
