Aims, contents and method of the course

The course is designed to provide students with an overview of the contemporary literary scene from Bosnia (Selma Asotić, Anita Pajević), Croatia (Martina Vidaić, Monika Herceg) and Serbia (Irena Plaović, Radmila Petrović), with a special focus on the works of young female authors. The course will not only shed light on the poetics of the poetesses, but will also give an insight into the practice of publishing poetry (in magazines and official publishing houses), public readings (literary evenings and promotions) and the use of social media as a new platform for displaying literature. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to better understand modern poetry and will be asked to write a review of a poetry book. (The best reviews will be published. You will receive more information about this in the course).
