Aims, contents and method of the course

insight into the multilingual (Polish, Chekh, German) literature of the Silesia-region; historic developement, common and special features in literary and cultural life in Polish and Chekh Silesia today

Assessment and permitted materials

presence at all sessions, oral presentation basend on hand-out, final paper

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

knowledge of the literary life in Silesia in past times and today; understanding of problems of multilinguality, regional identity, minorities

Examination topics

close-reading and discussion of introductory texts, presentations of the participants, discussion
