Aims, contents and method of the course
The French Enlightenment in the light of the writers A. T. Linhart (Slovenian), Sejjid Abdulvehhab ibn Abdullvehhab - Ilhamija (Bosnian), Dositej Obradovic (Serbian) and A. Kacic Miosic (Croatian).
Assessment and permitted materials
Short abstracts, presence and participation.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
It shall be elaborated how the sociopolitical conditions, in which the respecitve community lived, influenced the primarily French intellectual current. How much it was inculturated and produced a creative added value.
Examination topics
First, the Enlightenment will be discussed as a societal current, afterwards the respective political, social and sociopolitical situation of the respective communities will be presented in abstracts, then we’ll elaborate on the example of textual examples the differences resp. the similarities.
Reading list
The chapters on Enlightenment and their protagonists have to be read in the respective literary histories.
