Aims, contents and method of the course

The students will learn about challenging learning situations, risk factors, possible preventative possibilities and the pedagogical cautions to take.
Poverty, chronic illness, chronic stress, violence, domestic violence, trauma are among the topics to discuss.

Assessment and permitted materials

written tasks: 6 reflections (max. 1 page)
presentation: 20-30-minute-oral presentation
term paper: 10-12 pages excl. cover page, reference and table of content

For a positive grade, students should achieve 60%
Term paper: 50%
Presentation: 20%
Reflections: 30%

The classroom language is English. all written tasks can be submitted in English or German.
