We finally decided to hold the current seminar in HYBRID form. Meeting place is "kl. Seminarraum Zi 3510, 5. Stock Physik". There is space for 8 persons with FFP2 masks (lecturer without mask). That means that all regularly registered students have to be personnally present at all dates of the seminar; they also hold their own lectures in presence. Also the organizers and supervisors will be personnally present. All other participants including guest lecturers will be there only ONLINE.

Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The Seminar addresses mostly Master and Doctoral Students of the field of Materials Physics, but also other fields are possible, if they are related to the theme 'Micro- and Nanomaterials'. Moreover, renowned guest scientists are invited regularly to give lectures on current themes. The seminar's programme which will be continuously updated, can be seen in the MOODLE system by all participants.
On the first date Oct. 15, 2021, the lectures of participants will be arranged. The participants are asked to announce the title and the preferred date of their lecture and to discuss those with the organizer/s. Whether the seminar is held by personal presence or ONLINE we will announce in time on this site.

Assessment and permitted materials

Those students which have held a lecture successfully obtain a positive certificate. The mark results from the quality of presentation, the contents of the lecture, and the answers in the discussion following to the lecture.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The participants shall learn to design their work results as lectures and to communicate them properly. In discussions which immediately follows the lectures, the supervisors will critically question the work results and recommend the futural investigations. The lectures of the renowned scientists are to confront the students with the state-of-the-art of the international research.

Examination topics

Lectures will be prepared with PC/Power Point and reflected by a beamer.
