Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Basics of advanced optical spectroscopy. Basic introduction of Raman infrared and photoluminescence spectroscopy, Spectrometers, Physical properties related to the dielectric response function, linear response theory, Kramers-Heisenberg model dielectric function, grouptheoretical analysis of vibrational modes, and examples of applications.
The lecture scriptum and zoom links for online participation are provided on moodle.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Having passed the core module 11 is recommended, but no strict requirement.

At the oral eaxam you will have to proof excellent knowledge on the topics of the lecture and be able to explain the physical models in good detail.
