Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The aim of the seminar is to be able to discuss selected current debates in the areas of educational theory, educational research and aesthetic education based on sources and thus to participate in the educational scientific discussion. By working on current international texts and involving international experts, a lively research context is to be initiated in the dissertation study in selected educational fields and topics. In the seminar, current research approaches and controversies in the field of educational research, educational theories, and aesthetics are discussed on a content level and these are discussed together. At the same time, the construction of debates and discourses, as exemplified by a thematically discursive magazine, is reconstructed and deconstructed on a formal level. Suggested controversial topics in the field of educational research, educational theories, and aesthetics that may be discussed here are: 'Education in times of war'; 'Civic education and education concerning the public', 'Segregation'; 'Education in the Anthropocene', 'Is Criticism Spent?', 'Education and Capitalism'If possible, external experts are also invited or specific specialist lectures are attended. The course leaders see the course as being driven by a cooperative research interest. The participants can have a say in the content of the course.
