Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This course is directed at research students working on their doctoral thesis in Religious Studies. M.A. candidates in Religious Studies well advanced in their research are also welcome. Students are requested to present their research and regularly discuss the progress of the project, sharing pitfalls and successes with their peers. The course is intended to assist the participants to further develop their research, streamline methodologies and procedures, practise presentation skills, and familiarise with scholarly exchange.
Assessment and permitted materials
The progress of the participants’ research is closely supervised by the course co-ordinator. Substantial feedback and guidance is given in individual as well as group meetings. Distance students may join the meetings using video conferencing tools (Zoom et al.). The assessment is listed below. The language of instruction and discussion is English.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The course assessment comprises three items: class participation (40%); presentation of research (30%); and a progress paper (30%).
