In this course you will learn about the professional usage of computer software to support the academic work, for instance the efficient usage of the word processing package MS-WORD, the spreadsheet program MS-EXCEL, the presentation software MS-POWERPOINT and the principles and concepts of interactive statistical analyses with the software package SPSS.
Special topics:
MS-WORD: Use templates, create styles to change the look of documents
MS-EXCEL: Use Pivottables and Pivotcharts to summarize and present data in a visual format
MS-POWERPOINT: Create or import charts, diagrams, graphics, and text
SPSS: Prepare and organize data for analysing with an editor;
Descriptive data analysis: Compute a new variable; use of the functions Frequencies; Means, Pivottables and -charts
