Assessment and permitted materials

The first exam at the end of the semester (Jan 26th, 2023) will be a written exam (a mixture of multiple choice, short questions and essay question) only on the basis of the topics of the lecture units. The further examinations (for the dates see https://st-tgf-ktf.univie.ac.at/studium/pruefungstermine/wolfgang-treitler/) will be oral (15 min., consisting of two independent question or topics) and can be done based either on the topics of the lectures or on the substitute literature. The registration for these dates is done by the students via U:Space. In addition, an oral examination can be taken in any office hours of the following semester upon advance registration by email (wolfgang.treitler@univie.ac.at). The grade will be added to the next officially announced examination date. The exam can be done until the end of the winter semester 2023/24.
Permitted aids during the examination: none.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

A positive assessment of the examination is achieved if at least 50% of the contents are provided. - The examination performance is assessed as "sehr gut / very good" if the knowledge of the examination material clearly exceeds the average expected level of knowledge and if own, well based insights are brought in.
