Examination topics

Lectures, reading of passages of original texts and their discussion.
For all lectures during the period of safety measures due to the COVID pandemic, the material made available on the moodle platform presents the basis for preparing the exam. Online teaching serves for explaining further the text material and to discuss problems. You will also receive messages that inform about the technical details.

Assessment and permitted materials

Oral exam (in English, Spanish, Italian, French on request), due to COVID regulations online, if regulations permit, also in person. If the student cannot participate in an online exam due to technical problems, please contact the professor to ask for a personal exam. The Student is expected to give an overview over key lines of development in the history of Moral theology; to analyse important text from a systematic point of view; to explain the possible relevance for understanding and addressing today's ethical questions.
During the oral exam, no means of aid are permitted.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

A 50% of the exam questions needs to be answered correctly to pass the exam. Each answer will be graded, and an average grade will be awarded.
