Examination topics

The exam will be based on the lecture slides, the oral content of each lecture delivered by the lecturer as well as the chapters of the book "Rechts- und Verfassungsgeschichte" 4th or 5th edition (2016, 2018), which are covered in the lecture.

Assessment and permitted materials

For students pursuing the diploma in law, this lecture serves as a preparation for the module-exam legal and constitutional history.

CAUTION: The exam "Legal and constitutional history - History of private law" is relevant only for ERASMUS Exchange Students. If you are enrolled in the diploma curriculum in law, please do not sign up for this exam!

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The ERASMUS exam "Legal and constitutional history - History of private law" is a written exam. Students will be required to interpret a piece of historical source text, which will be provided in German language, and to respond to open questions. Students may chose to write their exam either in German or Englisch language. The exam is an open book exam. Upon reception of the exam, students will have three days to complete and submit the exam.
