Information
Examination topics
The readings and the lectures, plus two articles given out either at the exam or the day before.
Assessment and permitted materials
Final exam (involving mainly but not only the writing of an abstract of an article, and replacing it in historiography). Each part is eliminatory. The course is unlikely to be passed without attending concurrently the twinned Lektürekurs taught by Professor Christina Lutter.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Much reading (the only way to be a "Master" in History). This is where students will see whether they are cut out for a MA in Medieval History. This is also where they may decide that truly want to concentrate in Medieval History, and in which area of the field.
