Examination topics

Lecture. Students will be expected to keep abreast of the weekly selected readings in Latin as well as read the whole text in translation (German or English). Students will take turns keeping lists of keywords for study by the group, as well as creating concise outlines of the Confessions by Latin section.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

To become better acquainted with one of the masterpieces of Late Antique and Western Literature (the Confessions) and to read some selection from the opening books of the City of God. Critical selections in Latin; the whole text in translation.
