Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
In this course students should gain the breadth and sophistication of the arguments for and against basic income. This topic is well suited to make the inner coherence of argumentation understandable and to illustrate the connection between premises and conclusions. Insofar as this course is a complement to “the introduction to the theory of argumentation”, especially as the simplicity and clarity of the actual demand turns immediately into arguments pro and contra. Equally, the relationship between social development, transformation of Fordism and the emergence, dynamics and relevance of social and philosophical ideas are illuminated.
