Examination topics

Arithmetic: the perpetual calendar, concepts for dealing with fractions, basic ideas on fractions, negative integers and rational numbers

Algebra: The basic concepts of variables, terms, formulas, functions, equations must be dealt with correctly in the subject and it must be possible to classify, discuss and reflect on them adequately from a didactic point of view. Linear diophantine equations in two variables. Recognising term structures, transforming rules.

The tasks are based on those set in the related exercises. There are no exercises for the last chapter of the lecture, "Recognizing term structures, transformation rules". However, it will be tested in the colloquium except for the first term. Tasks from work sheet 8 or similar ones will only be tested from the second exam date onwards.

Assessment and permitted materials

Assessment: written colloquia. The duration is 90 minutes.

Permitted materials: calculator (GTR), CAS, spreadsheet.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Minimum requirements: for a positive overall assessment, more than half of the colloquium tasks must be assessed positively. The number of tasks is odd, the median of the partial performances gives the overall grade.

Assessment criteria: A performance is to assess with "Genügend", if the student mostly complies with the requirements of the colloquium concerning comprehension and applications.
