Lectures: in which practical examples and case-studies will be provided. Guest speakers: with expertise in the fields of EU regional policy and town planning and development in Vienna.

Assessment and permitted materials

Multiple-choice test as part of the "Modulprüfung" in the introductory and orientation period -Grundlagen und Konzepte der Humangeographie und Raumordnung (STEOP), or Multiple-choice test for lecture "Grundlagen und Konzepte der Raumordnung" (VO)..

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

1. To develop a basic understanding of the concept of regional planning. 2. To compare and analyse aspects of a variety of regional planning traditions. 3. To identify competencies of regional planners on a variety of levels. 4. To recognise potential political conflict within the field of regional planning.
