PowerPoint lectures are used to communicate the ideas during the course. A supplemental Skriptum is also available, which accompanies the lectures and serves as a study guide for students.
We have two separate lecture sections, one given in English and one given in German. The students can choose which section they want to hear.

Assessment and permitted materials
A written examination at the end of the semester (1st term) is used that covers the entire contents of the course. An objective format is used: multiple choice and true-false questions. All exams are bilingual (English and German together).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The objective of the course is to teach the student about the broad diversity of the plant world and its importance for human survival.
