Assessment and permitted materials
Written exam and essay; please email your student assistant Julia (julia.bernegger@univie.ac.at) if you will take the exam in English.!! Due to the current emergency operation of the university it is still unclear in what ways the exam will take place. Please use the self-inscription button to enter the moodle course for "240001 VO Introduction to Cultural and Social Anthropology" so that we can keep you updated, thanks!!! Update: The exam will be held online via the Moodle platform. You will receive a sheet with questions to download and upload your answers (in whole sentences please) again via Moodle. We also use Moodle for communication so please make sure that you are inscribed in the Moodle course.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Grades:
100% to 87% = Excellent (1)
86,99% to 75,00 % = Good (2)
74,99 % to 63,00 % = Satisfactory (3)
62,99 % to 50, 00% = Sufficient (4)
less or equal 49,99% = Unsatisfactory/ Fail (5)Essay and exam must be passed in order to pass the overall evaluation!!! Update: Your paper and exam response will be automatically checked for plagiarism with the software Turnitin. Before submission you might be asked to agree to an anonymised data transfer. If so, you are required to agree, otherwise you will not be able to submit your work.
