PM-SPEC Specialisation (20 ECTS)
Here you can find semester-independent information on the gatekeepers to be completed in the field of computer science:In order to participate in the courses 052111 VU "Advanced Algorithms" or 052112 VU "Numerical High Performance Algorithms" from the MA Computer Science, the following courses must be positively completed as gatekeeper CNA: "Algorithms and Data Structures for Computational Science" (PM-ADS, equivalent to 052100 VU "Algorithms and Data Structures 2") and 052101 VU "Numerical Algorithms".In order to be able to participate in the courses 052215 VU "Visualisation and Visual Data Analysis", 052312 VO "Computational Optimisation", 052314 UE "Computational Optimisation", 052311 VU "Data Mining" or 052315 VU "Natural Language Processing" from the MA Computer Science, the following courses must be positively completed as Gatekeeper FDA: "Introduction to Machine Learning" (IML) and VU "Statistics for Data Science" (SDS). Together, these are equivalent to the gatekeeper FDA 052300 VU "Foundations of Data Analysis".In order to be able to participate in the course 052511 VU "Cloud Computing" from the MA Computer Science, either the course 052500 VU "Distributed Systems Engineering" or the course 052800 VU "Parallel Computing" must have been positively completed as gatekeeper PC.In order to be able to participate in the courses 052113 VU "Software Tools for Computational and Data Science" and 052114 VU "Distributed and Parallel Algorithms" from the MA Computer Science, the following courses must have been positively completed as gatekeepers: VU 262014 "Algorithms and Data Structures for Computational Science" and VU 052101 "Numerical Algorithms".In order to be able to participate in the courses 052811 VU "Program Optimisations and Runtime Systems" and 052812 VU "High Performance Computing" from the MA Computer Science, one of the following courses must have been positively completed as a gatekeeper: VU 052500 "Distributed Systems Engineering" or VU 052800 "Parallel Computing".
